The fashion industry is never one to stay behind and the Bathing Suit world is no different. Many brands have turned to using environmentally conscious practices in production and even using recycled materials in their products. Brands like Tropic Of C and Vitamin A swimwear are doing their part in helping to keep the oceans clean.
Tropic Of C
Tropic of C has many popular styles but our favorites are The Equator Top in shell paired with the curve bottom and the signature “The C” one piece in sage. All of which fall into their “sustainable Styles” category, meaning that they are made with ECONYL® yarn, which are materials that are repurposed.
Vitamin A Swim
Vitamin A Swim actually uses a new type of recycled material created by Amahlia Stevens called EcoLux™ made of recycled nylon fibers. Our favorite looks from Vitamin A are the Lou Top in celeste with the Samba Ruched Back Bottom and the Neutra Bralette Top in gray pearl with the neutra hipster.
Summersalt swimsuits are made of 78%Recycled Polyamide which are made from materials that get pulled out of our oceans. Their swimwear can even provide SPF 50 , and made 5x stronger and more durable than traditional swimwear brands. Our favorite looks are the Voyager Bikini top in blue sky & white with the Ribbed Classic High Rise Bikini Bottom and The Tie Belted Cove
Reformation is all about sustainability and transparency as a brand. You can even find their own earnings reports on their website, at Reformation they track every part of their production and make sure it is as sustainably responsible as possible for the consumer and for the planet. Made of only responsibly grown materials this swimwear line is one you can feel good about. Our favorite looks are the Costa Top in Ochre with the Matador Bottoms and the Hermosa Top in Black with the Havana Bottoms.
